It had to happen sooner or later that my birthday would fall on a blogging day. As an inveterately lazy man, I am tempted to make my excuses now and go in search of cake, but there are a few bits and bobs I thought I would mention before I go.
This week I have another cover reveal. It’s for the first Kormak omnibus and it’s the creation of the very talented Trevor Smith.
This week I am finishing up the tenth Kormak book Portents of Doom. In it, Kormak, Rhiana and company pursue the sorcerer Balthazar through the blighted jungles of Terra Nova as the quest to find the source of Vorkhul’s coffin nears its climax. Mutant tribesmen, were-jaguars, demon summoners and the Lords of Skulls himself all seek to block their path and end their lives.
Masque of Death, the ninth book in the Kormak Saga has gone live.
In it our monster-hunting hero finally reaches Terra Nova where he is framed for murder during the Masque of Death, a great and sinister carnival of terrifying delights. He must face all sorts of skullduggery as he seeks to clear his name and unmask a killer while rebellion threatens.
Here’s the cover for the next Kormak novel Sword of Wrath.

The tortured girl is dying, slowly and in agony. The brooding stranger who has come across her broken body by the […]
I am on holiday in the very lovely Cesky Raj and I am looking for an easy subject for a blog post. Fortunately one is close at hand. Last week I announced the release of the second Kormak short story, A Cold and Lonely Place, and this provoked some interesting discussions in the comments and […]
