Another Absence Note
I was hoping to finish my epic series of posts about the writing of Blood of Aenarion this week but real life intervened in the various ways it does. I am off to London for the David Gemmell Legend Awards today so I won’t have the time now.I shall return next week!
Year One
Exactly one year ago today I started writing this blog. Not many people noticed because I did not allow it to be picked up by the search engines for some time after that. I had tried maintaining a blog on several occasions in the past and always given up after a few posts. I wanted to see if I could produce posts on a regular schedule before risking public failure again. I wrote a few, decided it was not too difficult and pushed on. They can be either good or bad, depending on the habit and the circumstances. The habit of smoking 60 cigarettes a day I once had was undoubtedly a bad one. The habit of writing 2000 words a day has done my life and my career no harm at all as far as I can tell and it has provided a number of positive benefits. Scientists think we have habits for a reason. They save Read more…
